23 days til europe!!

alicia got me addicted to computer solitare tonight. i won three times! hopefully i'll be able to curb my addiction because finals are coming this next week.
our internet at the colony has been out for over three days now...such an inconvenience! alicia and i sat here in our room wondering what people did before the internet. what a modern convenience it has become; we don't know what to do without it. it hasn't been warm enough yet to go outside and read on the front lawn, and so we've been bored out of our minds. but alas, it's back. and hopefully for good this time.
i made a cake last night that was super yummy-an apple cake. it consisted of one yellow cake mix, three eggs, and about 20oz of apple sauce. easy peasy and uber yummy! a bit healthier than the regular cake, too. it has a slight apple flavor and is very moist; i highly recommend it.
