Wow Alex! I love the trip in a nutshell. So I want to go to Germany and see the Castles. Wow what beautiful countryside. You really saw the leaning tower of Pisa. I read a book about it to my students and it is so cool.
Yes, go see the castles! They are in Fussel, a small, quaint town right below a few castles. There are tiny shops and horse drawn carriages and lots of hikes. I would go there again. :)
The leaning tower of pisa was literally like this: we got off the train, walked thirty minutes with our packs on, took pictures, walked thirty minutes back to the train station, and left. we did florence and pisa in the same day!
It looks like you had an amazing trip, Alex. I will be in Interlaken in a week to hike the Alps, so your pictures really got me excited for my trip. Have a great rest of the summer. I can't wait to here about your trip at Cousins' Club in the fall.
