Camping at Carlsbad State Beach this summer with the Montierths and the Geroge's was entertaining! The toddlers kept us busy--from their squirrel hunt in Uncle Dale's wagon to surfing! Below are the pictures. The girls enjoyed: surfing, riding the "boat" (aka boogie board), getting a bath in the same tub that Logan and I took baths in when we were little (Logan said Afton's never had so many bath toys!), pushing their strollers around with the gun next to the baby, blowing bubbles, and making necklaces (only to find the bowls that the beads were in were far more interesting and made great hats).

...the dolls at the end of this post are Mom's Christmas ornaments this year, obviously unfinished. She had me paint on each face, and by the end, I thought they were rather creepy on the kitchen table. They look like voodoo dolls, do they not?






































p.s. STEVE-we checked back on my pig cake post, and clearly states multiple times (AND in the post heading) that the cake was for my birthday! how could you miss that? :)
